The Durance Rooms

 The Luberon Rooms

The geographical location of Cucuron between the Durance (the largest river in Provence) and the Luberon (mountain range) inspired the theme of these two chambers:

The Durance room is decorated in a water theme, the dominant colors being water blue and the soft grey of river pebbles and driftwood.
The wicker bed recalls the plants that grow along the rivers and in the neighboring village of Cadenet where wicker work was the main economic activity from 1820 to 1978.

The Luberon room is decorated in an earth theme, the wood, the stone, the warm colors like those of the ochers of Roussilon or yet again the  green of vegetation,  sheaves of hay and lavender and branches of flowering cherry recall the agriculture of our sunny region and its fertile soil. Pine cones gathered on the Luberon mountain add to the decor.

From the terrace to the jacuzzi

Large glass sliding doors give access to a large open terrace (100 sq. meters) with a splendid view.Comfortably seated in one of the 2 small, outside sitting areas and protected by a large sun umbrella you can sun bathe, get a provençal suntan and enjoy the view.
To protect your privacy the terrace can be separated into 2 sections.

in order to make your stay even more pleasant, there is a common area for both rooms: a refrigerator, a kettle and a coffee maker are at your disposal as well as a dining area where you can have breakfast and leaf through some tourist flyers. You can relax in the Jacuzzi for free for 25 minutes each day. if you want to extend the jacuzzi session each session of 25 minutes is charged 15 Euros.

Free parking is available on the property.

We wish you a pleasant stay !

About us

Why are we called Le Bastidon? We have built our house around a 19th century, historically classed “Bastidon” or small country house.
Originally it belonged to the clergy along with other properties and nuns occupied it to provide aid to the poor.
